With generations of research, development and experience in creating functional, grape varietal specific glassware, Riedel has been announced as an official sponsor of the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).
The ultimate loudspeaker for fine wine, Riedel, established in Austria, has been producing glass for over 250 years. In its 11th generation of family ownership and operation, it is recognised worldwide for designing and producing the highest quality glasses and decanters for the enjoyment of wine and spirits. Their glassware is perfectly designed to enhance aroma and flavour, and there are collections for every lifestyle and price range.
The company will be sponsoring the IWSC Wine Importer of the Year award. Judged in two stages, it recognises not only the breadth and depth of the range of wine on offer (quality, price point and regions) but also the supporting roles of marketing, events and education.
Steve McGraw, Managing Director Riedel UK said,”Riedel are proud of their established partnership as exclusive glassware partner to the IWSC, which is synonymous with quality. We are also delighted to be sponsoring an award that plays such a crucial part of the supply chain”.
IWSC CEO Allen Gibbons said, “We are delighted to deepen our relationship with Riedel as they take on the sponsorship of this important award. Wine Importer of the Year recognises a critical part of how consumers are able to drink such great quality wine in the UK and Riedel’s own commitment to quality makes then the perfect fit”.
