Wine Awards

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Put your wines on the global stage and benchmark them against the best in their categories.

Since 1969, the IWSC has been one of the most respected wine competitions in the world. We run a tightly structured, rigorous tasting process covering all the main wine categories which are judged by the world's leading industry experts. This means that seeing an IWSC medal on a bottle of wine really means something to trade professionals and consumers. An IWSC medal is an industry-recognised seal of approval.

Wine Categories

The IWSC accepts entries across a range of categories. For each category, we have put together a dedicated panel of world-class judges known for their expertise in this particular wine style.

Wine Formats

At the IWSC, we believe that each wine format and package type deserves attention and recognition. Therefore, we are one of the few competitions accepting all wine formats, be it magnums, bag in box, cans and everything in between.

Sustainability Awards

We are proud to be champions of sustainability in the drinks industry. Since the launch of our Sustainability Awards, we have been celebrating wine producers and brands working towards greener viticulture and carbon-neutral production cycles. Each year we award our Green Wine Initiative Trophy and Old Vine Trophy

Entries for our 2025 Sustainability Awards will open for all our Wine Awards entrants in summer 2025.

"An IWSC medal can be a huge boost to a producer - buyers look at these medals as part of their initial research. Also, producers should enter the IWSC for market research purposes as well as promotion. And by research I mean how they can get feedback on their wines from a panel of really expert tasters."
