Ahead of the London Wine Fair 2024, we are excited to announce a series of panel discussions and tastings that we will be hosting at the UK’s biggest trade event.
From discovering Georgian wine gems with Sarah Abbott MW, to celebrating the booming Low & No category with Claire Warner; from delving deep into whisky with Sukhinder Singh to exploring the styles of pisco with Ivan Dixon – the IWSC has put together an exciting programme for this year’s London Wine Fair.
All our sessions will take place on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Monday 20 May
10.15 - 11.15 am, Centre Stage: Drinking Differently with Claire Warner
IWSC Judging Committee Member, Claire Warner, will host an insightful talk on the evolution of the Low & No category. Discover the latest trends in this dynamic category and find out how producers are pushing boundaries and creating high-quality drinks without relying on high ABV. Claire will be joined by Imme Ermgassen from Botivo – producer of the IWSC gold medal-winning 0% aperitivo as well as David Hodgson from Zeno, Mary Sheahan from Fire&5th and IWSC Judge Camille Vidal.

4:30 - 5:30 pm, Walk-Up Tasting: Whisky - “now and the future” with IWSC’s 2024 Industry Champion Sukhinder Singh
Managing Director of Elixir Distillers, founder of Whisky Exchange and IWSC Industry Champion Sukhinder Singh will guide you through a line-up of IWSC award-winning whiskies, and will share the fascinating stories behind the bottles. How do distillers' choices influence the final flavours? How are modern scotch and worldwide whiskies different from their historic predecessors? And what’s the future of whisky and whiskey? Find out at this unmissable tasting session. Sukhinder will be joined by Master Blender of Elixir Distillers, Oliver Chilton.

We will be showcasing over 100 award-winning wines from the country known as ‘the cradle of winemaking’. Taste an exciting range of Georgian qvevri wines and dive deep into the myriad of Georgian indigenous grape varieties, from the luscious Saperavi to the fragrant Kisi. 12.00 - 12.45 am, Education Zone: Exploring Atacama Pisco with ProChile & IWSC
Join us for an educational masterclass in partnership with ProChile, focusing on the Atacama region of Chile and its pisco production. IWSC judge, Ivan Dixon, joined by Nicolás Poblete from ProChile, will shed light on the exciting Pisco category with an opportunity to taste five outstanding piscos. Additionally, expert mixologist - Steeven Rosales - will serve sample cocktails showcasing flavour and the potential of piscos when used in cocktails.
