Following our highly successful Global Judging in 2023, this year, the IWSC is thrilled to announce its return to Austria. The 2024 Austrian Wine Judging, in partnership with Austrian Wine, is set to take place in Niederösterreich (Lower Austria) from 19 to 23 August.

Last year, our Austrian Wine Judging saw over 450 entries which achieved impressive results – over 380 wines were awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. The IWSC judges spoke highly of the quality of Austrian wines they tasted, noting that "the standard is very high”.

We are looking forward to delving even deeper into Austria’s dynamic and vibrant wine scene.

This year, we will once again be bringing to Austria a team of international judges representing both on-trade and off-trade sectors. Our expert panel will include Head Buyers, renowned Sommeliers and Communicators. We are pleased to share that the IWSC Judging Committee Member Dirceu Vianna Junior MW will once again oversee the judging panel.

Producers entering the IWSC Austrian Wine Judging will benefit from:

  • Discounted entry fee of £119 + VAT (when entering your wine(s), please select ‘Wine Judging in Austria’ as your judging location).
  • Convenient local delivery.
  • Exposure of award-winning wines to the IWSC’s global audience.
  • Inclusion in the IWSC’s 2024 communication campaigns.
  • Access to a panel of internationally renowned wine judges.
