A high performing bartop for luxury wines and spirits brands, Talis by Cork Supply, has been announced as an official sponsor of the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

Since its founding in 1981 by Jochen Michalski, the Cork Supply group has been at the forefront of its industry through innovation, superior service and expertise. Under his pioneering leadership, they now supply the most comprehensive collection of top-of-the-bottle products in the world, from corks to capsules and screw caps to synthetic.

Talis is Latin for greatness and excellence - values that Cork Supply embraces throughout its production chain. The high-quality cork stoppers meet a longstanding market need for a high performing bartop and allow Cork Supply to offer a product with the best mechanical and sensory performance in the marketplace. Their in-house design team ensures that their client’s storytelling goes from grain to bottle with a strong focus on the brand story and image.

The brand will be sponsoring the IWSC Armagnac Trophy. Known for its rustic charm, Armagnac is the true embodiment of a craft spirit. 2018 saw a huge increase in its quality, with a record 11 products scooping Gold and Gold Outstanding medals.

Monika Michalski, Global Brand Manager for Talis said, “We are extremely proud to be sponsoring this award because it is a true celebration of passion, dedication and excellence, values that are an integral part of our DNA.”

IWSC Chief Executive Allen Gibbons said,“Cork is such an intrinsic part of many of the award recipients at the IWSC, and has been for all of our 50 years, therefore we are delighted to welcome Talis as a sponsor. We were delighted by the growth in Armagnac in 2019 and we look forward to this growth continuing as more people discover this superb spirit.”
