The IWSC will be attending Fenavin 2019 next week, the world’s leading trade fair for Spanish wine from 7-9 May, to exhibit award-winning Spanish wines from the 2018 competition.
The event, which takes place at Fair Pavilion in Ciudad Real from 7-9 May, gives Spanish winery owners the opportunity to promote their wines to both the national and international wine industry. This will be the tenth edition of the trade fair, which will see over 2,000 wineries exhibiting this year.
The IWSC will be showcasing a range of top award-winning wines from all over Spain at its stand (Pabellón 6-Dionisos, calle B, número 11), including Matusalem 30 YO, which was awarded a Gold Outstanding medal and the Sherry Trophy in the IWSC 2018. The 30-year-old sherry from Gonzalez Byass is “packed with dates, spices, roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate on the nose, with a sweet, creamy palette and plenty of freshness”, said IWSC judges.
Spanish wineries wishing to enter the IWSC 2019 have until 15 May to send their wines in, before the judging sessions take place in London in June. The medal-winning Spanish wines from this year’s competition will be announced in July.
