The IWSC will be attending Vinitaly 2019, one of the world’s largest wine exhibitions, which is taking place 7-10 April 2019 at Veronafiere in Verona, Italy.
The IWSC Wine Communicator of the Year is due to be announced at the exhibition, at the Vinitaly Gala Dinner on Saturday 6 April. Sponsored by Vinitaly, the award recognises someone whose communication skills have made an exceptional contribution towards increasing public awareness in wines in the last 12 months.
The IWSC has shortlisted five fantastic communicators in the wine industry for the prestigious trophy: wine journalists Fiona Beckett, Elaine Chukan Brown and David Williams, Wine Folly founder Madeline Puckette, and wine and spirit educator Curly Haslam-Coates. The winner will go on to present a masterclass at Vinitaly, the details of which are yet to be announced.
As well as presenting a range of international wines for tasting, the IWSC will also be offering free bottle collection for wine and spirit entrants at its stand (International Hall D, Stand C/4). If you’re entering the IWSC 2019, you can save money by dropping off your bottles in person rather than shipping them. Entrants should bring four bottles of each entry to the IWSC stand, along with their entry confirmation email and entry number.
