We are pleased to reveal the shortlist for one of our most eagerly anticipated sustainability awards: the Green Wine Initiative Trophy. This prestigious Trophy recognises the myriad of ways winemakers are shifting their production methods and viticulture practises to be more sustainable and considerate of their enviroment.

This year, we were delighted to receive entries for the award from almost twenty wine producers from across the globe.

Our panel of expert judges spent time considering each application, carefully reviewing the details of their sustainability journey and finding out how winning the award would impact each producer.

The panel included: David Kermode, Journalist and IWSC Judge, Anne Jones, Wine Sustainability Consultant and IWSC Judge, and Marta Mendonça, Head Manager at the Porto Protocol.

The IWSC is thrilled to announce the shortlist for our 2024 Green Wine Initiative Trophy:

  • Journey’s End, South Africa
  • Lanchester Wines, UK
  • Spier Wine Farm, South Africa
  • Domaine Bousquet, Argentina

The winner this year’s trophy will be announced at our Awards Celebration on 12 November.
