Vodka

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Since 2020 we have seen an almost 50% increase in vodka entrants.

Vodka is a fast-evolving category with a huge potential. In 2024, the category put on an impressive performance at IWSC Spirits Awards, with 6 Gold Outstanding awards, as well as 24 gold, 75 silver and 54 bronze medals awarded to vodka entries.

IWSC Vodka Awards

In recent years the Vodka category has seen a spike in terms of both quality and diversity of entries, with a dazzling range of drinks submitted for IWSC awards: from traditional unflavoured spirits to flavoured and botanical vodkas. Vodka is certainly a category that is pushing the boundaries – and we are excited to witness its evolution.

Vodka & tonic awards

We're looking for the world's best vodka & tonic...

A specialist judging panel will assess how well each vodka (or low or lighter alcohol alternative) pairs with Franklin & Sons Tonic Water.

The vodka & tonic will comprise one part vodka to three parts tonic; no ice or garnish is used, and the drink will be tasted blind.

Entry into the Mixer add-on Awards is £139 per vodka.

“Every year I see the IWSC judges – renowned distillers, buyers, communicators, taking notes: what to look out for when the results come out. Very often we say: I’ve tasted this, it’s fantastic, where can I buy a bottle? The level of exposure producers get is phenomenal, and this is one of the greatest endorsements to those who enter the competition.”
