Ewan's entry to wine came through restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne before establishing a home base in the Yarra Valley in 2009. Smoothly transitioning into export and education focused roles, since 2011 he has lived or worked in major international wine markets across Asia, North America and Europe, whilst also developing niche and emerging markets such as Maldives, Mongolia and Bermuda.
A multi-lingual speaker and presenter with a keen sense of cross-cultural nuance, he has participated on panel discussions for Vinexpo, Sotheby’s, the International Cool Climate Chardonnay Challenge and the South Beach Food and Wine Festival, and was selected in the Wine Australia Future Leaders cohort for 2022.
Away from his various vinous pursuits, Ewan is frequently attached to a bass, a book or his dog Sashimi.
