Originally from a rural area in northeastern Italy, Sergio De Luca studied winemaking at the Oenological School of Conegliano Veneto and achieved a degree in agricultural sciences from Padua University.
After working a couple of vintages in the local co-op, he began working with the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, working abroad to market Italian wine.
He moved to London in 1981, and has worked at Enotria & Coe for over 35 years, where he oversees buying for the Italian side of the business.
