Hot off the press

Following the results announcement from our recent awards, our winners have been picking up coverage across the globe.

After the biggest number of entries into the IWSC’s Low and No Awards, it’s no surprise that the word has got out about the sheer quality of drinks that are available on the market. Indian brand, Svami, has been listed on Condé Nast Traveller’s top 10 craft food and drinks brands that are taking India to the world. Read here about Svami’s silver medal for their non-alcoholic Gin & Tonic, as well as their bronze medal awarded for their non-alcoholic Rum & Cola.

Moving to the southwest of England, its Cornish distillery, Trevethan that has caught the attention of news title, In Your Area. The distillery in Carkell, Cornwall, was awarded a gold medal for their London Dry Gin in our spirits awards back in June, and then at our awards ceremony in November, the distillery was crowned the IWSC’s 2021 National Gin Producer of the Year. An incredible achievement for a brand who resurrected the co-founder’s grandfather’s recipe, creating award-winning gins. Read more about our trophy winner here.

Another trophy winner from this year’s awards that has sparked the interest of national media title, The Sun, is Hermitage Cognacs. The company not only took home a number of top-scoring gold medals in our spirits judging in June, but went on to win our Cognac trophy for their 50 YO Grande Champagne Cognac. And as if that wasn’t an achievement enough, the company also received the ultimate accolade of 2021 Brandy Producer of the Year in our November awards ceremony.
