Dr Winnie Bowman is a Cape Wine Master, but also holds PhD in Education. She has long-standing experience as a wine-tasting judge. She also organises corporate and private wine & brandy tastings.

In addition, Winnifred is also a member of the exclusive South African Brandy Guild and the Grand Maître of the Commanderie de Bordeaux en Afrique du Sud.

Winnifred has also appeared as a guest on the Signature Living with Reuben lifestyle programme and curated a South African Brandy exhibition for the Pendock Wine Gallery.

She is a member of the Education Committee of the ICWM and a committee member of the Circle of Wine Writers and the Association of Wine Educators.

Her writing includes wine/brandy and restaurant reviews for the 021 Magazine, Classic Wine, Good Taste, Die Burger newspaper, Cheers, Graffiti, Stellenbosch Visio, and Mango Airlines inflight magazine.
