Vincenzo Arnese, a native of Napoli, found his fascination with the world of wine kindled in his childhood, ignited by the flavors of his grandfather's homemade creation, sampled at the tender age of five. This pivotal encounter set him on the path to a career in hospitality, where he specialized in sommellerie during his tenure at a respected hospitality school in Stresa, Italy.

Post-academic pursuits led Vincenzo across the landscapes of Switzerland, England, and Australia, starting in 2008 at The Waterside Inn in Bray. In 2012, he embarked on a culinary adventure to Melbourne, Australia's gastronomic hub, contributing his skills to esteemed establishments such as Vue de Monde, a standout in Australian gastronomy.

The allure of London beckoned in 2013, when Vincenzo assumed the role of Head Sommelier & Wine Buyer with Heston Blumenthal, later rising to the position of Head Sommelier at the prestigious three Michelin star Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.

In 2023, Vincenzo Arnese took on the role of Wine Director at Raffles London at The OWO, crafting an exceptional Wine List for Mauro Colagreco. Proficient in his field, he holds a WSET Diploma and successfully passed the Advanced examination of the Court of Master Sommeliers. His achievements include winning the Bellavita/UKSA ‘Best Sommelier UK’ in 2015 and securing the Runner-up position in the 2019 UK Ruinart Sommelier Challenge.

Notably, Vincenzo was honoured as Taittinger’s UK Sommelier of the Year in 2022 and recognized as CQ Best Sommelier in 2023.
