After dropping out of college and working in a wine bar from the age of 18, Freddy Bulmer fell into the wine industry when he became an apprentice for a North Yorkshire based wine merchant in 2011.
In 2013, he moved to The Wine Society, where he began to work his way through the business and into the buying department. He is now responsible for The Wine Society's portfolio of wines including Austria, Greece, Hungary, Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand, as well as the range of beers and ciders.
Bulmer also contributes a monthly column to OllySmith.com, and judges in numerous wine competitions. He is determined to never forget that wine should first and foremost be about having fun.
