Johannes Hartmann–Frost joined the Maçakizi family as F&B and Wine Director in April 2021 and has extensive experience in the food and wine sector with over 13 years of experience in London, working at some of the most exclusive establishments in the city.
After completing hotel management school in his native Germany, Johannes gained experience in Germany and France before moving to London in 2008. He is a certified sommelier and became Sommelier at Maze, before moving to Michelin starred Pétrus as Head Sommelier, where he worked with Gordon Ramsay for over two years. Johannes has a career that spans both food and wine in hospitality, from opening a bar in Munich to working at Michelin-level restaurants. Johannes’s passion for hospitality shines through in everything he does. His exemplary leadership skills and intricate knowledge of food and wine make him a prolific and well-regarded FOH Director.
