A new international wine fair will be launched in Paris in February next year, at which the IWSC will be showcasing ten medal winning wines.
Wine Paris, the union of French wine exhibitions Vinisud and Vinovision Paris, will be the capital’s first major international wine trade event.
It’s expected to be attended by over 25,000 visitors, 35% of whom will be international – including the IWSC, which will be presenting 2018 medal winning wines from France, Italy and Spain for tasting by the international trade.
The IWSC line-up includes three Gold Outstanding wines: Broglia Gavi DOCG del Comune di Gavi "Vecchia Annata" 2009, Bodega Señorío de Otazu 2010, and Matusalem Cream VORS.
With a particular focus on the wealth of French wine, the exhibition will also promote the diversity of the world’s wine regions, with an exhaustive range of more than 1,400 small and large producers signed up to exhibit from every French wine region, as well as European and New World countries including Italy, Spain, Croatia and Greece.
“Our two respective trade fairs have put aside their regional ambitions to prioritise the city of Paris in 2019 and for years to come,” said Pierre Clément, chairman of the Cool Climate Wine Association.
“Wine Paris 2019 is proving to be a real success. The trust placed in us by our exhibitors has given us reason to be enthusiastic and to want to ensure the show’s long-term future with a new event in 2020 in Paris, creating a perfect situation for targeting export markets outside the EU which is essential for the development of our wine regions”, added Fabrice Rieu, chairman of the Association of Mediterranean Wine Regions.
Wine Paris will be held 11-13 February 2019 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. For more information, and to book your attendance, visit Wine Paris.
