The IWSC announces shortlist for its 2023 Green Spirit Initiative Trophy

In 2022, the IWSC launched its Green Spirit Initiative Trophy, sponsored by Berlin Packaging UK. The Trophy was created to recognise the multitude of considerate distillation and spirit production practices underway across the world. This year, the entries for the award came in such great numbers, with 25 applications, spanning a magnitude of spirits categories.

The IWSC put together a panel of expert judges to go through each application with a fine-tooth comb. The panel comprised of, Dawn Davies MW, head buyer of distribution company Speciality Drinks, David T Smith, an independent spirits writer and consultant, Olivier Ward, drinks writer & distillery consultant and Sarah Miller, freelance spirits writer, judge & consultant, who is serious about sustainable spirits.

Following much deliberation, the IWSC is delighted to announce the shortlist for our 2023 Green Spirit Initiative Trophy:

The winner this year’s trophy will be announced at our Awards Celebration on 19 October.
