A selection of top-rated wines were showcased on the IWSC stand at Wine Paris this week.

Ten wines from regions all over France – including Champagne, Alsace, Cotes du Rhône and the Languedoc – were available for tasting by thousands of trade visitors across the three days of the exhibition.

Every wine on show received 90 points or more from IWSC’s team of experts, and the selection included AOP Alsace Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles Clos des Anges 2015 from Alsace, which scored an impressive 96 points last year.

A selection of trophy-winning wines from outside of France were also presented to showcase the very best of wines from IWSC.

Church Road Grand Reserve Chardonnay 2018 from New Zealand, Weingut Rabl Grüner Veltliner Ried Loiserberg Alte Reben 2017 from Austria, and Borgo Isolabella Augusta - Nizza D.O.C.G. 2015 from Italy were all on display – winners of the Chardonnay, Gruner Veltliner, and Italian Varietal Trophies respectively – alongside Ridgeview Blanc de Blancs 2015, a wine from IWSC President 2020 Tamara Roberts.

Alongside promoting last year’s top wines, the IWSC sales and operations teams were also on hand to receive entries into IWSC 2020, and answer questions from potential new entrants.

“We increased our presence at Wine Paris and Vinexpo Paris this year, to reach out to more wine and spirit producers than ever before,” said IWSC head of sales and marketing Mark Schneider.

“With the changes made to Wine Paris and Vinexpo, including the great new Be Spirits area, our brand managers were there to provide face-to-face support to producers, communicating the changes about IWSC for 2020 and introducing our new consumer platform, Club Oenologique.”
