Alejandro was born in Buenos Aires, to a family for whom food and wine has always been important. In 2004, Alejandro gave up his career as a Financial Consultant to study at the Escuela Argentina de Sommeliers.
Since then, he has worked as a wine writer for different media outlets in Argentina and overseas, including contributing to magazines. Alejandro teaches classes in Argentina, Uruguay, Panama and Costa Rica as a wine educator. He was appointed Executive Sommelier for Club Bonvivir, the largest wine club in Argentina in 2010.
In 2013, he co-founded Vinómanos, the first Argentine wine app, with whom he publishes the Informe Malbec, the most comprehensive annual report on Argentine Malbec in the world.
