Imogen Bowen-Davies is a distinguished figure in the world of wine, renowned for her expertise and refined palate. Since 2019, she has served as a wine buyer at Waitrose, a position that entrusts her with the responsibility for curating selections from Alsace, Bordeaux, the Rhone, and the Loire regions.
Her journey into the realm of oenology began after completing her university studies in 2015, when she embarked on a transformative experience at Leiths School of Food and Wine. Immersed in the culinary arts, Imogen discovered an unexpected passion for wine that would shape her career trajectory. Fuelled by her innate curiosity and devotion to gastronomy, she pursued a role at Majestic Wine in 2016, initially as a store manager.
Imogen's ascent within the wine industry was swift, driven by her insatiable thirst for knowledge and dedication to excellence. Transitioning to Majestic's esteemed buying team, she quickly distinguished herself, rising to the coveted position of Buyer. Her tenure at Majestic not only honed her skills in procurement but also solidified her reputation as a discerning connoisseur.
In her pursuit of mastery, Imogen pursued formal education in wine, earning her WSET Diploma in 2021 and subsequently becoming a qualified WSET Educator. Undeterred by her already impressive credentials, she embarked on a new academic endeavor, enrolling at Plumpton College to pursue a BSc in Viticulture and Oenology. Imogen's commitment to academic rigor underscores her dedication to understanding every facet of winemaking, from vineyard to bottle.
