Domaine Tariquet, a family-owned estate in the heart of Gascony, has been synonymous with Armagnac production since its establishment in 1683. Owned by the Grassa family since 1912, the estate spans an impressive 1,125 hectares, showcasing the rich heritage and dedication of five generations of wine growers. With a mission to create exceptional Armagnac while honouring the environment, Domaine Tariquet has embraced sustainable practices since the early 1990s. Their vineyards hold the High Environmental Value (HVE) status, reflecting their commitment to responsible viticulture. Notably, the estate is a trailblazer in producing quality products, recently launching three new expressions under the Pot Gascon format. With the Grape Brandy Producer Trophy, Domaine Tariquet’s recognition by the IWSC highlights its excellence and innovation in the industry.
Our judges commended Domaine Tariquet for its unwavering commitment to innovation and quality, particularly during challenging market conditions. "Their focus on actually trying to release something new is admirable, even in the face of very difficult sales, because they were the ones saying ‘look beyond the glass, we're still trying to move forward’." This sentiment resonates with the core philosophy at Domaine Tariquet, where the dedication to releasing distinctive products while maintaining traditional craftsmanship sets it apart from the competition.
The estate's recent achievements, including the launch of unique expressions like Le Légendaire and Montreur d’Ours, showcase their ability to honour tradition while embracing innovation.
