Top medal winning wines from the USA, judged in the world prestigious 2011 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC), will be made available for sampling for the press and trade. The ‘free’ self-pour tasting is to be held on the
27th October at the Culinary Institute of America in St Helena, California. Doors open at 14:00 and close at 18:00. It follows on from an increase in US entries of around 25% into the IWSC since last year, and 130% since the Competition made the decision to taste all wines entered from the USA in California in 2009. Marketing Manager, David Kelly, comments; “The increase in wine entries from America has been really impressive. This is the second year the competition has tasted all US wines in California, with what is now becoming the annual press tasting providing a unique opportunity to sample over 200 medal winners”.
The tasting comes as the shortlist for the coveted USA Wine Producer of the Year Trophy is announced:

- Château Ste Michelle
The winner will be announced at the prestigious
