With St Patrick’s Day around the corner, draw on the luck of the Irish with these award winning whiskeys selected by drinks expert, Ewan Lacey, ‎General Manager at the International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).

The International Wine & Spirit Competition recognises and rewards the very best wines and spirits from across the world. Its panels of professionals spend months tasting and judging wine and spirits in its dedicated tasting rooms at the competition’s headquarters.

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day and the fantastic array of Irish Whiskeys awarded medals in 2015, Ewan has carefully selected his pick of the bunch. These can be enjoyed with a drop of water to enhance the flavour profiles of the individual whiskeys or served simply straight up.

Flashing the cash: Jameson Irish Whiskey 18 YO

This classic Irish whiskey is wonderfully smooth and soft on the palate. Its complex flavours of peach, nectarine, toffee, fruit cake and vanilla make this an exceptional drink, available from The Whisky Exchange for £82.85.
