Sponsorship Sales Executive

The role:

We're on the lookout for a dynamic Sponsorship Sales Executive to join our team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in driving revenue by selling multi-tiered sponsorship packages for our events and publishing across our esteemed brands, Club Oenologique and the IWSC.

The Sponsorship Sales Executive will be required to seek out appropriate partners, develop relationships with relevant decision makers and sell over the counter (OTC) and bespoke packages to fit the objectives of clients.

Key primary job function includes:

  • Sell a diverse range of sponsorship packages including, but not limited to - awards sponsorship, trade and consumer events sponsorship, exhibition booths, print and online advertising - to existing clients and new business prospects.
  • Efficiently target and engage with the right clients for each opportunity, managing time effectively across multiple events.
  • Exceed personal and revenue targets by fostering strong, lasting relationships with clients and identifying new business leads through cold calling, research, and industry networking.
  • Identify market trends and shifts and adapt our offering accordingly while being fully aware of competitors.

This is a job for you if you are/have:

  • A proven track record in both B2B and B2C sales, demonstrating a significant increase in revenue or specific achievements.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • Confidence in generating new business leads through strategic cold calling, personal research, and industry networking.
  • A highly motivated and ambitious approach, consistently driving for excellence and achieving measurable success.
  • Customer-focused with a proven ability to understand and meet client needs, fostering lasting relationships.
  • Innate self-motivation and a strong work ethic, translating into a determination to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a history of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, enabling adaptability to market trends and competitor strategies.
  • A genuine interest in the drinks industry and a desire to deepen your knowledge in this field.

Marketing and Editorial Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious candidate to join the IWSC Marketing and Club Oenologique Editorial teams as a Marketing and Editorial Assistant. If you are a creative, self-motivated professional, and have a keen interest in wine and/or spirits, we have the perfect role for you.

This role’s purpose is to support the IWSC’s Marketing and Club Oenologique’s Editorial teams with the development of their content creation across various platforms. This job is a hybrid job, where the successful candidate will work across two brands, the IWSC, the B2B arm and Club Oenologique, the B2C arm. You will manage your time across the two brands ensuring deadlines are met and content is accurately distributed.

Key responsibilities are:
• To support in creating and uploading content to IWSC.net and ClubOenologique.com
• To support social media content creation, monitoring channels and helping diversify and grow Club O and the IWSC’s social audience and reach
• To build and schedule monthly newsletters for the IWSC’s wine and spirit newsletters and Club O and The Collection’s newsletters
• To support IWSC top list creation and increase opportunities to showcase key sponsors and entrants to the IWSC on the Club Oenologique website
• To support in adhoc administrative tasks across Club O’s print and digital editorial - including photoshoot coordination, picture callins and magazine mailouts
• To assist with the production of IWSC’s marketing materials and collateral

This is a job for you if you are/have:
• Highly computer literate, with high level of accuracy, with strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Proven strong verbal communication skills.
• Experience in using CMS tools and a knowledge of and passion for technology and digital.
• A thorough understanding of social media platforms.
• Be a self-starter with the ability to prioritise, work to deadlines, use initiative and perform under pressure.
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, WordPress.
• Have a keen interest in wine and spirits.
