WSC South Africa Showcase Trade Tasting

The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) will be hosting the 2014 South African showcase tasting on Thursday 6th February. Free to members of the wine and spirits trade, the event will be held at the Grand Roche Hotel, Paarl, South Africa.

Guests will be able to sample over 200 award-winning South African wines and spirits, including last year’s gold outstanding winners. Highlights include Van Ryn’s Collectors 20 YO brandy and Pinotage Trophy winner The Mentors Pinotage 2011.

IWSC General Manager, Ewan Lacey said, “The IWSC South African showcase will highlight the high level of entries being submitted by South Africa. 2013 was an impressive year with South Africa achieving 39 Gold and Gold Outstanding medals. The Groot Constantia Grand Constance 2010 was memorable, a wine recommended by the late 18th century English writer Jane Austen as a cure for heartbreak.”
