Green Spirit Initiative Trophy

Green Spirit Initiative Trophy

Rewarding considerate distillation and spirit production practices

The IWSC’s Green Spirit Initiative Trophy, has been created to highlight the impressive work being carried out by distilleries, producers, and spirit companies already on the journey toward improving their environmental credentials. No matter your businesses size, we want to hear from you all about the great work you are doing to reduce your impact on the environment when making your spirit.

Entry criteria

Applicants will be able to provide quantitative evidence on the nature of the improvements made and can demonstrate a causal relationship between activities undertaken and improvements achieved. Visible progress to becoming a more sustainable organisation must be demonstrated. Initiatives must already be underway; it is not enough to simply demonstrate intention.

Entry is open to all 2024 entrants to the IWSC Spirit Awards.

If you wish to be considered for this award, you must have entered the IWSC's 2024 Spirits Awards.

The deadline for the 2024 applications is Friday 20 September 2024.

“To have our sustainability initiatives recognised on a global scale by an authority such as the IWSC has made us tremendously proud.

"It demonstrates to our community here in Australia and around the world that we are doing is world class, and it’s not just us saying that!

"It’s a stamp of achievement and credibility that our trade customers, friends in media and our gin drinking community can celebrate and support.”
