Madeira, Portugal
Tasting Note
" Extraordinary colour, brown through green on the rim! Intriguing to say the least! So subtle and seductive on the nose, distinctly Madeira like in style but tantalising and suggestive of long age. On the palate the wine starts soft then intensifies and grows to a climax rarely experienced in anything but the oldest and rarest of fortified wines. Sweet but with perfect acid balance, the unanimous verdict of the tasting panel was that this wine was as close to the perfect expression of Bual as in possible on earth! Extraordinary wine. "
