Initially drawn to the world of marketing, Melania's trajectory took an unexpected turn when she encountered the enchanting allure of wine during her time in the United Kingdom.

Fascinated by the rich history, diverse terroirs, and intricate craftsmanship that define the world of viticulture, Melania made a bold decision to pivot her career path towards the pursuit of wine expertise. Enrolling in rigorous programs offered by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and undertaking the arduous examinations set forth by the revered Court of Master Sommeliers, Melania embarked on a transformative journey of discovery and mastery.

Armed with a deep-seated appreciation for the artistry of winemaking and an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Melania's passion for wine burgeoned into a lifelong vocation. Her dedication and commitment to her craft propelled her through the ranks, earning her accolades and recognition within the industry.

During her illustrious career, Melania has curated wine programs that transcend mere lists of varietals and vintages, imbuing each selection with a narrative that speaks to the essence of the land, the hands that tended the vines, and the unique character of each bottle. Her tenure at Medlar Restaurant in Chelsea, London, stands as a testament to her unwavering pursuit of excellence, where for five years, she enchanted diners with an eclectic array of wines that seamlessly blended tradition with innovation.

In June 2023, Melania embarked on a new chapter in her career, assuming the role of Junior Food & Beverage Manager at Aman Resorts, a prestigious luxury hospitality group renowned for its uncompromising commitment to excellence. Across Aman's esteemed properties scattered across the globe, Melania brings her unparalleled expertise and infectious enthusiasm to bear, elevating the wine experiences of guests to unprecedented heights.

Driven by her ambition and passion for the wine industry, Melania aspires to become the first and youngest Italian female Master Sommelier, with aspirations to pursue the Master of Wine qualification in the future. She also holds a degree in Coaching and Positive Psychology from the University of Cambridge and runs her own consulting and coaching company for hospitality and brands, MelCnC.

In recognition of her exceptional talent and dedication, Melania has garnered acclaim and accolades within the wine community. In 2022, she emerged triumphant as the winner of the Young Sommelier Competition, a testament to her prowess and expertise in the field. Additionally, Melania secured a coveted position on Harper's prestigious Top 25 Sommeliers in the UK list, further cementing her status as a luminary within the industry.

Melania's stellar achievements reached new heights when she clinched the Gerard Basset Tasting Trophy in November 2020, further solidifying her reputation as a rising star in the wine industry.
