Wine has always been an integral part of Nicolò Cereghini's life, dating back to his childhood memories of grape treading sessions with his grandfather to produce red table wine for family and friends. Born in Lake Como, Nicolò grew up assisting his family in their countryside hospitality business, where he eagerly served coffee and poured wine for local guests.


Nicolò embarked on his formal wine education in Italy, obtaining his Diploma from the AIS (Italian Sommelier Association). Upon relocating to London in 2018, he continued his studies at the WSET.


His professional journey led him to a local fine dining restaurant, where Nicolò discovered his passion for wine with the support of his team. Leveraging his experience as a sommelier in Italy, he sought to expand his knowledge of international wines, finding London's diverse wine scene the perfect setting for exploration.


Nicolò's London experience began with a three-month internship at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hyde Park in 2015. Later, in 2018, he joined the esteemed team at the Connaught Hotel.


His expertise shines through in their wine list, which features renowned regions such as Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhône, Barolo, and Brunello. Nicolò also places great emphasis on sourcing wines from small, emerging, and sustainable producers, showcasing selections from lesser-known regions. These wines often highlight indigenous grape varieties, allowing him to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and unique terroirs of each area.
