In 2022 the IWSC launched its Emerging Talent in Wine Communication Trophy. This year marks the second year the title will be awarded.
An exceptional shortlist was announced last week following the review of entries from Australia, the USA, Italy, South Africa and the UK. Our judges were pleased to know the world of wine communication is in exciting and creative hands.
Sponsored by Prosecco Superiore DOCG the IWSC is delighted to announce Luma Monteiro as the winner of its 2023 Emerging Talent in Wine Communication trophy.
Luma is the founder of her network, Wineria, sharing the tales of what goes on behind the bottles to her audience of over 16k. She is also generous in sharing her study tips following her progress through her own wine studies. Working together with the WSET and Global Wine Academy, students have benefited from Lumas first-hand experience.
With her creative approach to communication and a friendly and personable style, our judges were incredibly impressed by Luma’s entry.
Luma will be awarded a £2.5k educational travel bursary from the IWSC, which she intends to use visiting the key wine regions across Italy, documenting everything like a visual travel journal via her Instagram and online blog.
