IWSC highlights innovation and increasing interest in the flavoured wine category

As consumers continue to push boundaries and become increasingly curious, the wine based flavoured drinks category has similarly grown. Entries to the IWSC for this category have increased 202% year on year (2022 vs 2021 entries) highlighting a growing trend beyond traditional wine flavours.

New flavours have been awarded medals following this year’s judging, including cloudberry, blueberry dessert and spring forest.

2 gold medals were awarded to entrants for this category as well as 22 silver medals and 56 bronze medals.

• Glöet Alcohol Free Sparkling Glögg, Custom Drinks, Spain
• Qiyue Heimijiu, Huangshan Qiyue Ecological Agriculture, China
