Maria discovered her passion for wine at university which gave her the enthusiasm to embark on a career starting at Majestic Wines on the graduate scheme. Broadening her skill set she then worked as Events Manager at Vinopolis before moving to The Wine Society to join the Tastings team. In 2003 she moved into retail as a Wine Buyer with The Co-operative and latterly at Waitrose and over 16 years sourced and blended wines from pretty much every wine region in the world. Deciding to switch things up a little she then joined Off Piste Wines as Sourcing and Supplier Manager. Maria’s diverse knowledge and experience in wine is supported by her WSET Diploma (Honours) winning the Port Scholarship award for outstanding achievement.
