Tasting Note
" Autumn maple-leaf red, with glowing saffron and bronze highlights. Age and refinement characterise the bouquet on the nose, which has plenty of toasty, roasted, salted and caramelised mixed nuts. A gentle whiff of vanilla oak, dark maple syrup, figs, raisins, sultanas and orange peel, plus a drizzle of Cointreau. Dry in the mouth, with a smooth, lightly oily texture. The structure is quite firm, with an oaky note identifiable in the framework. The bittersweet elements meld with the alcohol and glide across the tongue. This is a serious, complex, exquisite wine that lingers in the mouth for an age. "
