It’s not just about what’s inside the bottle
In addition to entering our main wine and spirits categories, you can also submit particularly eye-catching bottles into our design awards. Gin and vodka producers have the option to enter our spirit & mixer awards too, while we also take nominations for a number of people and business awards.
These categories are all about recognising outstanding individuals through accolades such as the Wine and Spirit Communicators of the Year.

As well as judging individual wines and spirits, we are also keen to recognise the creativity of the companies that import, sell and distribute those bottles, showcasing their excellence in encouraging a greater understanding – and sales – of quality drinks.
Don’t tell our tasters, but on today’s crowded shelves, the way a bottle looks is just as important as how its contents taste. And since those same tasters never see a bottle, we put packaging centre stage in our Design Awards, where we reward innovation, creativity and brand personality in wine and spirit artwork, bottle design and packaging.
As the demand for low- and no-alcohol drinks booms, this new category will benchmark the best examples of this growing trend.
